The Fireweed was established in part by a grant from the USDA’s Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program, western region office, and much of the work published herein was supported by the faculty and other students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) Department of Anthropology and the Resilience and Adaptation Program (RAP), a National Science Foundation IGERT.

Needless to say, the views expressed at the Fireweed are (usually) my own, though I make no guarantee that they won’t change. That being said they do not necessarily reflect the views of any of the aforementioned organizations. In fact, I can guarantee that many of my views differ largely from the views of the USDA and the National Science Foundation.

And just so all of our asses are covered from those who don’t find ‘civil suit’ to be a contradiction in terms, take anything you wish from this site, an idea, a grudge, or a vision, but don’t blame me for whatever failures of judgement you make after the fact.
